CEDEJ and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina are honored to present 67 years of political, cultural and economic aspects in the discourse of modern Egyptian history, spanning the time between the 1950’s until 2017. This exceptional endeavor has seen the light owing to the fruitful cooperation between both institutions. Since 1976, CEDEJ had formed a documentary wealth of more than 1,795,000 press clips taken from 300 daily and weekly Egyptian and Arab paper journals. The articles were classified into 40 themes depending on their subject. Hence, this vast collection allows users to pursue the changing aspects of the modern Egyptian society. This wealthy documentation has acquired an added value owing to the modern technological techniques deployed by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, who had digitized the press clips and availed them online, with the collaboration of CEDEJ who had catalogued and indexed the collection for its dissemination online.
